The tubing however is utter garbage. My first set fell apart after 3 days of use when the end piece broke off, making it useless unless I wanted to register reach and every patient I saw in the ED, which I would never do. Eko kindly sent me a replacement which broke off at the same spot, but this time I saw some additional plastic reinforcement was in place. That meant I could just pop my end piece on, which I did for a year and a half before that too disintegrated. New earpiece arrived and did not work at all. No sound. I really love this stethoscope so not having it for over two weeks was difficult. I would like to see a different mechanism for the earpiece to attach to the duo. No matter what the situation, and regardless of the level of background noise, I can hear a pin drop! There is only one issue I have with the EKO, the earpiece breaks very easily at the connection site where it screws in at the beginning of the rubber tube portion. A design flaw for sure.
